Peter Obi Secured Afenifere’s Endorsement Without Controversy- Atiku Slams Tinubu Over Visit To Akure

Daniel Bwala, a spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign organisation, has criticised Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the controversy that followed his purported endorsement by Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the immediate past leader of the Pan-Yoruba Socio-Political group, Afenifere.

Reactions have trailed the endorsement of Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, by Pa Fasoranti, a founding father of Afenifere.

Before now, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the incumbent leader of Afenifere had endorsed Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party. Adebanjo cited equity and justice as his reason for pitching his tent and that of the group with Obi.

However, Tinubu’s endorsement by Pa Fasonsanti has introduced a new narrative to the entire scenario.

Reacting to the development the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar through his spokesperson, Daniel Bwala said Tinubu went like a thief in the night and got an endorsement that sparked controversies.

“Peter Obi secured endorsement from Afenifere without controversy or contradiction, but you went like a thief in the night and your supposed endorsement sparked controversy. Isn’t it shameful and disgraceful? Trying to stop a church rat from eating poisoned holy communion,” Daniel, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
