Bandits Who Kidnapped Village Head In Kaduna Demand Petrol, Cigarettes, Recharge Cards As Ransom

To secure the release of Mr. Ayuba Dodo Dakolo, the village head of Rijana, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, his people may have to appease the raving bandits with loads of cigarettes, Recharge cards, gallons of petrol, engine oil and other items.

This was the verdict of the abductors when they reached out to the family after their successful operations in the area.

The bandits reportedly invaded the village on Tuesday and abducted the community chief and some farmers in the area.

A member of the community who spoke to Daily Trust confirmed that the bandits have reached out to the family and the community to make their demands known.

“We have spoken with the village head and he is fine. However, the bandits have also asked us to provide them with recharge cards, gallons of petrol, engine oil, cigarettes and threatened to kill him if we don’t” He said.
