Peter Obi Condoles With Victims Of Borno Flood Disaster, Abagana Multiple Accident

Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, in the 2023 presidential election; has condoled with the government and people of Borno State over the massive flooding in the state which have claimed lives and destroyed properties worth millions of naira.

” I am deeply saddened by the multiple loss of lives and disruption of activities in Maiduguri, Borno state capital which has just been hit by a devastating flood disaster.

“It is heartbreaking to think about the families who have been bereaved or torn apart, the homes that have been destroyed, and the livelihoods that have been ruined.

“I can only imagine the pain and suffering that the people of Maiduguri are going through right now. My thoughts and prayers are with them, and I hope that they find the strength and resilience to get through this difficult time”, he mourned.

He noted that in times like this everybody needs to work together as a nation, we must support each other. He urged the federal and state governments to do everything within their powers to provide aid and relief to those affected by this natural disaster .

“We need to work together to rebuild and restore the communities that have been damaged. May God console and protect the people of Maiduguri, and may He give them the courage and hope they need to face the days ahead”, he added.

In a similar development, Peter Obi has expressed his sadness over reports of a fatal road accident which occurred at a local market in the Abagana Community of Anambra State, where some lives, were lost, and others injured.

Mr Obi, a former governor of Anambra stat, encouraged the Federal Road Safety Commission to remain firm in implementing road safety measures and ensure that road users strictly obey road traffic rules and regulations.

“I sincerely condole with the families who have lost loved ones, and pray for the quick recovery of those injured”, he said..
