23 hours after the launch of new naira notes, NFF boss meets CBN gov. Emefiele

The President of Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, in company with a couple of NFF Board Members, on Thursday paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Godwin Emefiele.

The visit is coming just 24 hours after the CBN launched redesigned notes of N200, N500 and N1,000 on Wednesday.

The new notes attracted controversy and condemnation from many.

During the Thursday visit, the NFF supremo expressed appreciation to the CBN Governor for the support and encouragement afforded the previous Board of the NFF by himself and the CBN institution, and earnestly sought the same support and encouragement for the new Board.

Emefiele assured the new NFF team of the support and encouragement of himself and the CBN institution for its programs, events and activities.
