Breaking: Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, removed

Reports just reaching our newsroom says the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State command, Edgal Imohimi, has been removed.

According to the report the police boss has been replaced by Mr Kayode Egbetokun, who is to take charge of affairs in acting capacity with immediate effect to avoid needless vacuum.

Imohimi is expected to resume as the Commissioner of Police in charge of Explosive Ordinance Unit at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Mr. Edgal Imohimi assumed office as Lagos CP on August 31, 2017. Before then, he was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in Lagos State.
