PHOTOS: Scores Of Residents Stranded As Heavy Flood Ravages Akure

The downpour which occurred on Saturday in Akure, Ondo state has left major roads in the capital city heavily flooded while several residents were rendered incapacitated from moving freely.

The affected roads include the popular Adesida, Oyemekun and  Ondo road.

The flood also took over the popular Erekesan market.

Many motorists abandoned their vehicles in the flood as they were already stuck.

Some Passengers were also seen carrying loads as they tried to find their way out of the flooded areas.

While lamenting the ugly situation, the people appealed to Government to find a lasting solution to the perenial problem of flooding in Akure and other parts of the state.

Twenty four hours after the downpour, many residents were still stranded on the affected roads.
