Genevieve Wows Audiences With Movie Premiere In Toronto, Canada

Nigerian movie goddess, Genevieve Nnaji, could not hide her excitement after she successfully premiered her latest movie “I Do Not Come To You By Chance’’.
The movie was premiered at the ongoing prestigious 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, (TIFF), which kicked off on the 7th of September and is expected to end on the 17th September 2023.
Genevieve was elated as she announced that the premier is another landmark achievement for her.
The movie is an adaptation of Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani’s novel ‘’I Do Come To You By Chance (2009), dealt into the treacherous world of Nigerian email scams and the story of an ambitious young man who struggled to liberate his family from the shackles of poverty.
The cast of the movie include: Blossom Chukwujekwu, Beverly Osu, Jennifer Eliogu, Sambasa Nzeribe, Ijapari Ben Hiriki and newcomer Paul Nnadiekwe among others.
The movie is coming after the success of her movie ‘’Road To Yesterday’’ in 2015, which marked Nnaji’s foray into the world of movie production. In 2018, she thrilled movie buffs with another mind blowing movie Lion Heart which she produced and directed, and the movie got global attention.
“I Do Not Come To You By Chance,’’ is one of the 47 selected titles from 45 countries taking part in the ongoing film festival.
The movie is co-produced by Chinny Carter and Chioma Onyenwe. The script was written by Chika Anadu and Ishaya Bako, and Femi Awojide was the Director of Photography.
