Photo: Ondo Forest Guard Killed While Returning From Beer Parlour 

A 45-year-old forest guard has been  killed by  gunmen on his way home from a beer parlour along Kola re-wire area of Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

His gruesome killing has since thrown the people of the area into a state of pandemonium.

The deceased identified as Moshood a.k.a ‘Omo Olopa’, was with his friends at a beer parlor in the Akure garage area of the town, prior to the incident.

RovingNaija gathered that the deceased, while on his way home, was waylaid and killed by gunmen.

The unfortunate Incident has continued to generate reactions in the town, as family and friends wore sad look while some were seen in groups discussing the incident.

Police officers have beefed up security in the area to forestall  reprisal  from some groups who were said to be planning to avenge the death of the victim.

A police source who confirmed the incident, said investigation into the matter was ongoing.

He said immediately the police were alerted by the people in the area, policemen were mobilized to the scene, and the corpse was evacuated to an undisclosed mortuary in the town.
