Naming Two Airports After Buhari Is Immoral & sycophanthic, He Should Respectfully Decline It- Shehu Sani

Former Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani has condemned the naming of Ebonyi State Airport after President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recalled that the state governor, Dave Umahi had named the newly completed and commissioned airport after the Nigerian president to appreciate his effort in bringing the dividends of democracy to the state and the entire southeast.

The chieftain of the All Progressive Congress reinstated that the move is not political but the right thing to be done by his administration.

The Ebonyi airport will now be the second to be named after the president following the Cargo airport that was also named after him in Yobe.

Reacting to Umahi’s Statement, Shehu Sani revealed that the move is sycophantic and immoral. The senator of the 8th Assembly advised that the Ebonyi Airport should rather be named after Chinua Achebe, Emeka Anyaokwu, Victoria Ironsi or the Ikemba himself.

He said: “Naming two Airports after Buhari is immoral and psychopanthic, he should respectfully decline it.”

Shehu Sani made his position known while writing on verified twitter page on Thursday.

He wrote: “The Construction of Ebonyi Airport is commendable.Kudos.But It’s immoral & sycophantic to name two Airports in the country after Buhari. He should respectfully decline it.The Airport should rather be named after Chinua Achebe,Emeka Anyaokwu,Victoria Ironsi or the Ikemba himself.”
