ASUU Strike: UNIBEN Staff Commits Suicide Over Financial Difficulties

A non-academics staff of the University of Benin, Prince Carter Oshodin, has reportedly committed suicide on Friday over financial challenges.

It was gathered that he had not been paid his salary for months due to the strike action embarked upon by the university Union. He was said to be the data entry personnel at the university.

According to the report, the Non-Academic Staff Union which the deceased belonged to, has called off its strike recently, but the members had yet to be paid their salaries.

He was said to be a data entry staff of the University.
