Doira’s ‘sexy diva’ single rocks social media industry

The debut music single by Doira, a new indigenous female Afro hip-hop musician, entitled “Sexy Diva” is receiving critical reviews on social media platforms Rovingnaija.com reports.

This is the summary of the information gleamed from foremost online digital music distribution company FreemeDigital, Thursday, in Lagos.

According to the company, the “Sexy Diva” single is already amassing views, downloads and buys on reputable platforms such as Itunes, Deezer, Soundcloud, Spotify, Tidal, Boomplay and Vevo among others through the official link: https://doiraftk-switchftbawa.fanlink.to/SexyDiva thereby exceeding early projections about a debut single from a fresh face:

“For Doira’s first work, our major objective was to create awareness and just get the words out there about a fresh face in town, however, what we have witnessed so far beats our imagination as she is already generating downloads and commercial patronage from her fans in Africa, Europe and America,” says Muna Orioha, Artist Relations and Distribution Manager of the company.

“If I am to hazard a guess, I think her early success, especially during an election period when the attention span for non-politics-related information is fleeting, speaks volumes about the universality of her style and I believed she really explored her existing fan base to target active followers of her brand.”

“Post-elections, we are projecting about 500% increase in commercial patronage going by our analysis and our success at rectifying some initial glitches which some fans had with downloads, says Clinton Agoh, Public Relations Manager of FreeMeDigital.

In less than two weeks since her work was unleashed on the Nigerian music scene, Doira’s introductory song has continued to amass views, reviews, engagement and re-tweets on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp etc., thereby amassing many active followers and fans in the process.

For an introductory music work, this development is against the run of play for a debutant artists not headlined by major producers and global marketing companies and the development did not go unnoticed going by the comments by fans and social commentators:

Fred Airiafo Oriunuebho, a media expert and social media commentator described Doira’s journey into music as a curious freak occurrence worth studying: “I am enthralled by her capacity to maintain a full time professional career as a software engineer and simultaneously nurture a music career. It is a rare occurrence in her industry hence my unusual interest in following her music career. I wish her the best.”

“I am happy for her. As someone who has being her fan on Facebook for over two years I am over-joyed that she has launched her music career. She is really a woman of many parts – modelling/beauty pageantry, dancing, engineering and now music – wow, she is a super woman!” says @Iam_bukky.

A social media blogger @Bedexentertainment summarised Doira’s early success in a few words: “The babe is cool… I have followed her career on Instagram and Facebook for many years and I am surprised at what she has achieved. She is an embodiment of hard work, dedication and focus; I will always support her in anything she is into.”
