Breaking News: Many school children trapped as building collapses in Lagos Island

An undisclosed number of primary school pupils are trapped when a building housing their school collapsed in Lagos Island, Lagos, Wednesday.

The three-storey building, located at Itafaji Street, near Adeniji Adele, houses the primary school on the last floor.

Sources say the building collapsed at about 10:20am on Wednesday.

Spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Kehinde Adebayo, has confirmed the building collapse, saying the emergency officials were already on the ground.
