Nigeria, UAE Have Commenced Implementation Of Bilateral Agreement – Keyamo

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo says Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates have commenced implementation of the five-point agreement signed during President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Abu Dhabi last week.

The minster disclosed this at the closing ceremony of the 7th Africa Aviation Summit and exhibition in Abuja with the theme “stepping up for business

The summit which gave over 100 airliners and other aviation companies across the globe participated in the 7th aviation Africa summit and exhibition where they shared experiences, new ideas and chart ways on how to improve the sector for safety standards and economic growth.

The summit afforded the Nigerian government, domestic airlines, and some African countries the opportunity to sign a memorandum of understanding to improve the sector for the benefit of the countries.

While speaking with journalists, the minister of aviation and aerospace development, Festus Keyamo says the federal government and the leadership of United Arab Emirates have began implementation of agreement signed during President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Abu Dhabi particularly the resumption of Emirates and Etihad flight operations to Nigeria, including the suspension of visa ban on Nigerians

Participants at the event are hopeful that the summit and exhibitions hosted in Nigeria will bring new opportunities that will speed up development of the aviation sector and in turn boost the nation’s economy.
