Despite Protests, New Postmaster General Bullish About Her Leadership Qualities

Despite the protest by aggrieved workers of the nigerian postal service over the decision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Tola Odeyemi as the Postmaster General of the Federation, The newly-appointed Postmaster General of the Federation and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Postal Service, Tola Odeyemi, says she will make the agency a commerce and logistics hub globally by meeting the needs of Nigerians nationwide.

Odeyemi disclosed this on Monday in a statement after assuming office at the NIPOST headquarters in Abuja.

She pledged to consolidate the achievements of her predecessors.

“The essence of every administration lies in the ability to ensure continuity while staying focused on its core values and mandate, striving to maximize its potentials, and adapting to change and involving commitment.

“NIPOST has a legacy that was forged by hard work, a vision of those before me, and posterity will indeed be kind to them’’.

“As I assume this role, I came to build on the commendable work of my predecessors; my aspirations are not only to solidify NIPOST’s status as one of the leading Postal Operators in the world but to critically commence to build trade and make NIPOST the- commerce and logistics hub in the world by providing postal services that meet the needs of Nigerians, irrespective of the location.”
