Reactions As Tinubu’s Campaign Council Justifies Reason For Sending Arise TV Camera Man Out Of Its Event

The presidential campaign council of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima has clarified the controversy that trailed its action against the Arise TV Camera man at their event in Lagos on Friday.

In a tweet posted on twitter by the Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga on Saturday, it was revealed that an official camera man of Arise TV was sent out of the venue of the event held in Ikoyi where the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was billed to address a group of professionals.

The action has continued to attract criticisms from many Nigerians who asked what the campaign council was hiding to have warranted sending off a journalist from an event that involved their principal, Tinubu who is one of the leading candidates in the forthcoming presidential election.

Reacting to the criticisms, Bayo Onanuga gave reason for the action.

He made this known on his verified twitter page on Saturday evening.

He wrote: “For clarity, the Tinubu-Shettima campaign is not against Arise TV covering its events. The Lagos NESG dialogue was not meant for TV live coverage. It was to be recorded and shown later. Other TV houses did not breach the rule, except Arise News. And it was done by stealth. Why?”

His post has however attracted another barrage of reactions on twitter:
