Ego Boyo’s movie wins award in New York

The movie, ‘Ghost and the House of Truth’ was recently announced as the winner of the Grand Jury
Prize for Best World Narrative Feature at the Urban World Film Festival, holding in New York.
Breaking the news, through her twitter handle, the movie producer, Ego Nwakaego Boyo, said the award is a collective effort from the cast and the crew without whom the film would not have been successful.
The tweet reads, ‘’We are proud to announce that our film, ‘The Ghost and The Truth’, has won the
Grand Jury Prize, for Best World Narrative Feature film. We take this opportunity to thank our wonderful
cast & crew without whom this masterpiece of cinema would not have been possible.
The film talks about Bola, a hard working single mother whose child unfortunately goes missing while she was engrossed in humanitarian work with some victims of various
crimes.
Bola is one of many parents who will experience the sheer
terror and anguish of the ghost.
Meanwhile torrents of congratulatory messages have been pouring in for Mrs. Boyo, over the award.
Actors like, Rita Dominic, Ken Erics Ugochukwu and Kate Henshaw who played the role of a police
officer in the movie, have congratulated the actress best known for her role in now rested popular soap
opera Checkmate. Ego Boyo has produced movies like: 30 Days, Akanchawa and Keeping Faith among
others. #
