Breaking News: More Troubles for Maina as court revokes Son’s Bail

There seems to be no end in sight to the travails of the former chairman of the Pension Reformed Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina as a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, FCT has revoked the bail granted to his son, Faisal Maina for failure to appear for trial.

The court, presided over by Justice Okon Abang, issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Maina “anywhere he is sighted by security agencies.”

Justice Abang also issued a summon on Faisal’s surety, Sani Umar Dan Galadima, a member of the Federal House of Assembly representing Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency of Zamfara, to appear before the court on Wednesday to show cause why the bail bond should not be forfeited.

It would be recalled that the court had on 26 November 2019, admitted Faisal to bail in the sum of N60 million with a surety in the like sum who must be a member of the House of Representatives.

Dan-Galadima had deposed to an affidavit of means on 11 December 2019 to always come to court at every adjourned date and produce Faisal in court.
