A road accident that happened early on Wednesday morning has claimed the lives of three persengers at the popular Ketu bus stop in Lagos.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident – a long passenger bus, a yellow bus and another vehicle. Many also sustained injuries of varying degrees.
An account from a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) monitor said the remains of the three deceased and injured passengers have been evacuated by the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU) to the Accident And Emergency Hospital, old tollgate, by seven up.
An eyewitness said the fatal accident was caused by the driver of the long passenger bus that lost its brake system and crashed into a Danfo yellow bus.
Reports said that efforts are ongoing by the men of LASTMA to remove the wreckage of the buses and ease the traffic buildup along the road.
