Aftermath of COVID-19: Nasarawa passes N20.2bn budget


The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed the 2020 supplementary budget of N20.2 billion into law.

According to the state government, this is necessary in order to cushion the effect of COVID-19 on the people of the state.

The Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, announced the passage of the supplementary appropriation bill into law after it scaled the third reading during the House proceedings in Lafia yesterday.

He said the speedy passage of the bill was to enable the state government to tackle some challenges as well as cushion the effects of COVID-19 on the people.
