UPDATE: Police Arrest Brothel Owner, Alleged Murderer Of Akure Socialite, Saybayo (PHOTOS)

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspects in connection with the alleged murder of a 43-year-old socialite, Mr Oladoyinbo Adebayo aka Saybayo, in Akure.

RovingNaija News reported that Saybayo’s lifeless body was found in his vehicle in a pool of blood inside Ijapo Estate area of Akure on December 10, 2023, a day after he was declared missing. 

Spokesperson of the command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, who confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, January 12, said one of the suspects, Atinuke Adeniyi, claimed she and the deceased were lovers.

The suspect claimed that the deceased started convulsing after they made out in a brothel.

On his part, the brothel owner, Mr Ilesanmi Adeojo, claimed to have dumped the corpse where it was found. 

“On the 10th of December,2023, the corpse of Mr Oladoyinbo Adebayo AKA Saybayo was abandoned in his car in Ijapo. Police SWAT took over the case and it led to the arrest of one Atinuke Adeniyi who claimed she and the deceased were involved in a romantic affair,” the PPRO stated in a post on X.

“They made out at a brothel in Ijapo a day before his body was found, she claimed the deceased started convulsing after they finished and out of fear she abandoned him and left. The suspect led Police to the said place and one Mr. Ilesanmi Adeojo,”

“The owner of the brothel was arrested and he confessed to having driven the car with the corpse in it to where he was found, he also claimed he did it out of fear. Investigation is ongoing, suspects will be charged to court at the completion of the investigation.”
