Terrorism: We shall ensure justice is served – Prof Osinbajo

Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo has admitted that Nigeria suffered a major tragedy when terrorists attacked the Borno Farming Community.

Prof Osinbajo said his heart bleeds for the families of the deceased and gave assurances the government shall ensure justice is served.

“As a brother, father and Nigerian, I am incredibly devasted by these acts of violence.

Osinbajo said he has reached out to the government and people of Borno state to offer his condolences following the tragic incident.

“I have spoken to Governor Babagana Zulum and former Governor Kashim Shttima (on the killing).

He said government must look beyond conventional strategy to deal with the threat.

“A lot more focus will be placed on local intelligence and community policing so that we review information quickly and react faster especially at the local level.

“This is a very unfortunate development and our hearts are with the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on the farming community in Borno State. We shall ensure justice is served

In a tweet on his verified twitter handle @ProfOsinbajo, he said that the pattern of the attacked was shocking.

“…the share randomness of it… that a group of people can act so insanely and in such a dastardly manner… We have to think through a way of dealing with such randomness,” he said.
