Chelsea ride easily over Leicester City at King Power Stadium

It was an easy ride for Chelsea in Saturday’s early kickoff as they cruise to a 3-0 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Two first half goals and one after the restart ensured the Thomas Tuchel’s side held on firmly to the top of the English Premier League table.

Chelsea took the lead in the 14th minute through Antonio Rudiger header from a corner kick taken by Ben Chilwell.

The lead was extended in the 28th minute when Ngolo Kante’s powerful shot could not be stopped by Kasper Schmeichel as the ball found its way into the net.

After the restart, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers brought in Kelechi Iheanacho for Ademola Lookman, but it was Chelsea who made it three in the 71st minute.

Christian Pulisic tipped the ball from an Hakeem Ziyech pass to beat the goalkeeper who has been busy and effective all day.

The victory has taken Chelsea to 29 points on the league table, six points more than Manchester City and West Ham who both have a game in hand.
