Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina has expressed delight over his emergence as the winner of the Premier League Goal of the Month for November.
Aina’s scintillating strike in Fulham’s 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion was adjudged the best in the month under review.
The Nigerian full-back fired home from 18 yards to open his account in the Premier League and helped the Cottagers clinch their first win of the 2020-21 campaign.
The former Chelsea and Torino defender on his Instagram page thanked everyone that voted for him while he also gave credit to his Fulham teammates for the individual accolade received.
“So grateful to everyone that voted for me it’s a big pleasure. I thank God also and my teammates. The work continues,” Aina posted on Instagram.

Wining the November Premier League Goal of the Month did not come easy for Aina as he had to see off fierce challenges from a handful of other contenders.
Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze, Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez, Southampton duo Danny Ings and James Ward-Prowse, Brighton and Hove Albion’s Solly March, Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Leeds United’s Raphinha were all in the running for the coveted award.
Aina expectedly has been getting rave reviews for the new award he has gotten for himself and his Super Eagles teammates, Leon Balogun and William Troost-Ekong have both congratulated him.

Ekong who is also plying his trade in the English Championship with Watford also said he’s proud of the former Chelsea defender’s achievement.
“Proud of you bro @Aina2Ola, ???” Ekong wrote.
Meanwhile, Aina is expected to be in action for the Cottagers against champions Liverpool at Craven Cottage on Sunday
