New Generation of Super Eagles Players Excites Alloy Agu
Super Eagles’ goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu said he is impressed with the influx of talented young players paraded in the senior national team lately.
In an interview with Roving Naija, Alloy declared that Nigeria is getting closer to raising a crack side good enough to punch above its weight given the pedigree of players coach Gernot Rohr invites to play for Super Eagles.
He further lauded coach Gernot Rohr and the scouting team for a job well done in talking young foreign talents to play for their fatherland where they’re guaranteed regular playing time.
” It’s a good one for the national team to have lots of young players in Super Eagles. Coach Gernot Rohr and the scouting staff are doing a great job. The coach is willing to parade Nigeria’s best” he said.
He further urged Nigerians to rally behind the national team and it’s backroom staff, adding that Super Eagles gaffer will leave no stone unturned to ensure Nigeria emerge as Africa’s best at 2022 AFCON in Cameroon.
” I still want to urge Nigerians to support team and backroom staff as we keep working hard to give them a national team they can be proud of. We will not let them down as we look forward to qualifying for Nations Cup in Cameroon and better our last result in Egypt,” he concluded.
Nigeria remains on course to qualify for AFCON 2022 even though they have been slowed by the back-to-back draws against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in Benin City and then in Freetown.
Roving Naija gathered that more players from the diaspora will be playing for the Super Eagles in 2021 including the Fulham duo of Ademola Lookman and Tosin Adarabioyo
