The Kwara state Government has commenced rehabilitation work of Oyun/Offa Local Governments’ Water Works as part of efforts by governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq to provide clean and potable water supply for domestic and commercial consumption across the state.
It will be recalled that the state’s Ministry of Water Resources have carried out similar repair works on other Water works across the state in order to supply all homes with clean drinking water.
According to a reliable source, governor AbdulRahman is committed to providing clean water for use especially during this period of seasonal water scarcity. This is to find a lasting solution to the perennial problem of water scarcity in the state.
It will be recalled that, the last time the people of Offa/Oyun had access to pipe borne water was 17 years ago.
