Incoming reports from Italy suggests that Victor Osimhen has finally recovered from his injury that has held him back for so many weeks.
SSC Napoli News on their Twitter handle on Tuesday said the Nigerian striker is expected back in Naples before Christmas though he is only expected back in action by January 2021
The news outlet wrote: It’s great news that @victorosimhen9 has recovered from injury and will return to Naples for Christmas. We’ve really missed his energy and pressing in recent weeks. Hopefully he’s fit and ready for 9 matches in January
Napoli’s Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli had hnited at a January return for Osimhen in his interview with Sky Sports Italia.
He said: “Osimhen is still not well, we are waiting for him at the beginning of 2021,”
“At what point of the month is he back? We are waiting for him at the beginning of January. I don’t know when he will come back, we will see in what conditions it will be, and we will evaluate”.
Osimhen suffered a shoulder injury while in action for the Super Eagles in the AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
