BREAKING: Islamic Scholar, Sheiki Ahmed Lemu dies at 92

Dr Justice Sheikh Ahmed Lemu, (OFR), the first Grand Qadi of the Sharia Court of Appeal of Niger state is dead.


In a social media post, Nurudeen Lemu, the son of the diseased said Sheik Lemu passed away away, early hours of this morning 24th December 2020.


He said, “It is with sadness and reverence to Allah that we announce the passing away of our father, Dr. Justice Sheikh Ahmed Lemu (OFR), in the early hours of this morning in Minna.


As at the time of filing this report, Justice Lemu is yet to be buried.

Dr. Sheikh Ahmed Lemu served in the field of education for more than half a century, during which he undertook various teaching and ‘Islamic Dawah’.


Born 21st of December 1929 in Minna present  Niger state, he schooled at University of London and an Author of ‘A Book of Fasting’.
He was a recipient of King Faisal International Prize Award in Service to Islam.
