The Difference Between Your Age & Mine Is Just A Few Months- Tinubu Tells Matthew Kukah At 70

The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has told the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Hassan Kukah that he is only a few months older than him.

Tinubu made this statement at the 70th birthday celebration of the Bishop on Thursday which was well attended by eminent Nigerians from all walks of life.

While delivering his keynote speech at the venue, the former governor of Lagos State said he understands the institution Mathew Hassan Kukah is building but no matter how important it is, the Bishop must join hands in building Nigeria.

He said everybody must contribute to the national building. He revealed that the Bishop is 70 and he (Tinubu) too is 70 and he is only a few months older than Kukah.

The APC presidential candidate apparently stated this to clear the speculations, controversies and arguments that have been trailing his official age in the public.

Tinubu told Mathew Kukah that despite being 70 years of age, they both have a bigger responsibility of building Nigeria.

He said, “You are building an institution in the honour of your 70, I am 70 too I could still contribute. I am just months older than you are.

“But Bishop, you will help build Nigeria.

The greatness of a nation is on your shoulder. It’s on my shoulder too and we must build it together. I must and I will contribute handsomely and personally to build and see to the completion of that institution.”
