Atiku calls North slaughter ground as he condoles Katsina/Zamgara state
Former President and Presidential aspirant, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has condoled the families of victims of recent attack in both Zamfara and Katsina states while describing North as slaughter ground.
Alhaji Atiku reacting on his Twitter page to the story of how gunmen have been killing in both Zamfara and Katsina states with 29 lives lost recently, said the situation is saddening.
He said, “It is saddening to condole yet again with families of victims of these attacks.”
He called for an end to the killings as it have turned the beautiful landscape of the North to slaughter ground. He said, “The reckless killings that have turned the beautiful landscape of the North into a slaughter field must stop.”
The former President however called on the government of both states to set up tactical team to infiltrate the criminals in order to gather intelligence.
He said, “While I commiserate with the governments in Katsina and Zamfara states over these particular attacks, I urge that state governments set up secret tactical teams to infiltrate some of these criminal elements to gather intelligence that might forestall some of these ugly scenario.”
