Ighalo set to sign mega-deal with Saudi club

Odion Ighalo’s favourite line is ‘favour over labour’ and that is set to play out again as the 31-year old is set to sign a mega-deal with Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab.

Roving Naija reliably gathered Ighalo has already arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sign a two-and-a-half-year provided he passes the routine medicals usually conducted on new signings.

Before settling for Al-Shabab, Ighalo had been linked with potential moves to Dubai, the Premier League and the MLS but a switch to the Middle East appears to be the most lucrative for the 31-year old.

Interestingly, one of Nigeria’s greatest strikers ever, late Rashidi Yekini also played for Al-Shabab.

It is not surprising fans of the club are already counting down to welcome another trusted goal poacher from the most populous black country.

Ighalo’s impending move to Saudi Arabia comes just days after his loan spell at Old Trafford came to an end, where he penned a heartfelt farewell to the fans.

The transfer window in Saudi Arabia runs until February 7
