Tinubu’s PCC Media Director Shares Photo Of People Queueing Under The Sun To Get Money In Bank

Bayo Onanuga, the Media Director of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council has shared a picture of frustrated Nigerians who were standing under the scorching sun to make a withdrawal.

The incident which reportedly happened at an unidentified bank in Abuja has been generating mixed reactions on social media.

The photo which was shared by Onanuga on his verified twitter handle is part of series of photos and videos that have been circulating on social media to confirm the agony and anguish people are going through to get money since the introduction of cashless policy of the central bank of Nigeria.

The CBN governor in a Media briefing organised with selected journalists on Monday insisted that there is no going back on the policy as it is meant to benefit Nigerians.

His insistence is coming almost a week after the judgement of the Supereme Court that restrained the CBN from effecting February 10 as deadline for the naira swap.

Reacting to the sight of people standing under the sun while trying to get their money, Bayo Onanuga wrote: “People queue in the searing sun in Abuja to get new Naira notes as the pains continue over CBN’s Naira swap policy.”
