FG approves the establishment of 20 new private Universities

President Mohammad Buhari has given approval for the establishment of 20 new universities in the country. The announcement was made on Wednesday in Abuja, the federal capital.

This follows the approval of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to the memo sent from the Ministry of Education.

According to the information, the twenty new private universities will be given provisional licenses to run for three years while the ministry monitors and evaluates their growth.

The total number of private universities in the country is to rise to 99 with the new development.
