At the very ripe age of 52, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Mr. Oscar Onyema has finally waved goodbye to bachelorhood. He married his former fiancée, Annette.
The private wedding ceremony which was held last weekend was graced by selected family members as well as friends.
Onyema who also doubles as the chairman of the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc, the clearing house for the Nigerian capital market, was appointed as the CEO of the NSE in 2011, a post he holds till date.
Prior to joining the NSE, Onyema had occupied several other high-profile administrative positions spanning over 20 years including his stint at the United States financial markets.
He was also the first person of colour to serve as senior vice-president and chief administrative officer of the American Stock Exchange (AMEX), an establishment he joined in 2001.
As recently as December last year, Onyema was named as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc.
