Breaking: Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki mourns Ekweremadu

The immediate past Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki has condoled with his former deputy Senator Ike Ekweremadu on the death of his younger brother and commissioner for Transportation in Enugu State, Chief Mathias Ekweremadu.

The younger Ekweremadu passed away on Thursday in Enugu State after he slumped at the state house of assembly.

RovingNaija reports that all efforts to save his life at the Niger Foundation Hospital, where he was rushed, to failed.

Dr Saraki wrote on his twitter handle: “I am sending my heartfelt condolences to my friend and brother, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, on the death of his brother, the Commissioner for Transportation of Enugu State, Chief Mathias Ekweremadu, who passed away yesterday.

“It is my prayer that Almighty God grants Senator Ekweremadu, his family, and the government and people of Enugu State solace as they mourn the passing of Chief Mathias, who was a passionate public servant that served his people at various levels with distinction,” he stated.
