2023: Ayim To Celebrate 60th Birthday, Interact With Associates

Former Nigerian Senate President and former Secretary to the Government of the federation Ayim Pius Anyim will on Friday, 19th February 2021 celebrate his 60th birthday in Abuja the nation’s capital. Where he is expected to interact with friends and associates on the Nigerian political space.

According to a source the birthday celebration and the choice of Abuja is a political calculation towards 2023 presidential election. The birthday party is to bring together all his friends and political associates as he is seen as a politician of goodwill from his region with friends and political associates from all over the country.

The race for 2023 presidency has begun, the earlier the better that’s why he wants to use this opportunity to interact and intimate friends and associates of his political ambition. 

“The birthday party, will provide him an opportunity to celebrate with loved ones and for him to interact with loved ones and exhibit his new principles and beliefs on the Nigerian socio-political ecosystem.”

Family members, friends and associates from business and political space are expected to converge in Abuja on Friday to celebrate Nigeria’s former Senate President, Anyim as he joins the league of sexagenarian statesmen in Nigeria.

Sen. Anyim was the President of the Nigeria’s upper legislative chamber, The Senate, from 2000–2003 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). And he’s believed to be nursing a presidential ambition for 2023.

In May, 2011, he was later appointed the Secretary to the Government of the Federation under former President Goodluck Jonathan, where many believed he discharged the responsibilities of his office as SGF with uncommon patriotism and diligence before his departure in 2015.

As a lawyer, Senator Anyim first became a Senator at 37, made Senate President at 39, and voluntarily did not seek re-election to the Senate at 41, as he returned to his law practice.

Sen. Anyim is full of gratitude to family, friends and political associates for their love and support.
“I have every reason to thank God for keeping me till date, having had such a very humble beginning, faced many life challenges and then found my head above the sea level to the point of holding leadership position, where I have contributed my quota, at the highest level of governance, to the soico-economic development of our nation. I owe my Creator all the gratitude for keeping me alive till date and thank my loved ones for their support all through these years,”. He said.
