5 Months After His Demise, Alaafin’s Wife Eulogizes The Late Monarch

Five months down the lane, Olori Abbey, wife of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has continued to grieve over his demise.

RovingNaija reported that the monarch died in April this year at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.

The remains of the top Yoruba traditional ruler was brought to Oyo in the early hours of Saturday, and traditional rites began.

The late monarch was 83 years old and the longest-reigning Alaafin, having ruled for 52 years.

Marking his 5months remeberance, Olori Abbey shared photos of her with the Alaafin’s frame.

Fondly known as Current Alhaja, she prayed for their creator to be pleased with his soul.

“Five months Gone. May Almighty Allah continue to be pleased with your Soul Okomi Atanda Morodiya’Omo ADENIRAN”.

The queen, who was yet to get over his death, took to her Instagram page to remember him.

Hailing him, Queen Abbey stated that the late king would forever be in her heart.

Her post reads,

“It is four months today that you left us. May you continue to soul rest in perfect peace. Forever in heart, my husband Atanda, where the lion lives, the animal that goes to is not lucky, where the creature of war is left, the father of the one that is left. Walking around the corner. The thought of the pit kills the dog, the thought of the matter is the deceitful, the thought of a rich man is the one who has the power, the portion of the poor kills the owner. Whoever the Atanda holds a long hand if war, the Lord is the king’s law. Continue rest in peace, Omoibironke”.
