President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a closed-door meeting with the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa and the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, who later joined in the meeting some minutes after it commenced.
As at the time of filing this report, the agenda of the meeting is yet to be ascertained but it is being gathered that it will be about issuing mandates to the new EFCC boss, as well as familiarisation.
It could be recalled that Bawa’s confirmation as Chairman of EFCC by the National Assembly happened just yesterday being Wednesday 24th February 2021.
