Gov. Uzodinma introduces special insurance policy for security agents

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has instituted an insurance policy for security agents in the state.

The initiative is part of efforts to boost the morale of Policemen serving in the state and check the high spate of recent attacks on both security officials and civilians by gunmen.

Gov. Uzodinma spoke at the presentation of 16 operational vehicles donated to the newly set up Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Police in the state.

He commended the Police for their resilience so far in the face of the security challenges in the state.

“If the Nigerian police is challenged, the entire nation is challenged.

“If the Nigerian Police is doing well, the entire nation is doing well.

“Government will not let you do this job alone, we will partner with the Nigerian Police to make Imo safe for all,” he said.

In his response, the Commissioner of Police, Autu Yaro, said his command will work hard to make the state crime free.

He commended the governor for his support to security officers in Imo state.
