The good performances of Enyimba players in the NPFL and on the continent are not going unnoticed.
While the Enyimba goalkeeper, John Noble made the roster of 24 players originally invited for the AFCON qualifying games against the Benin Republic and Lesotho, coach Genort Rohr has handed a late invitation to another player in the Aba-based club.
The new invitee is talented forward Anayo Iwuala who has been invited as replacement for Sadiq Umar who has been denied a chance by his Spanish club to link up with the Nigeria national team.
Anayo is the third player that would be invited to take a slot in the original 24-man list made public a couple of days ago.
Henry Onyekuru had intially been drafted to replace injured Samuel Kalu while Paul Onuachu took the place of Simon Moses due to travel restrictions on France-based players.
Hopefully, Anayo won’t just be making the numbers but he would be express his God-given talents to the fullest when the Super Eagles camp opens in a few days’ time.
