AFCON Qualifiers: Enyimba duo hit Super Eagles camp

The Enyimba duo of John Noble and Anayo Iwuala have now arrived in the Super Eagles camp at the Eko Hotel and Suites.

Coach Gernot Rohr invited Anayo as a replacement for Sadiq Umar while Noble was in the original 24-man roster drawn up by the Franco German for the AFCON qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Lesotho.

For the duo, it is a dream come true to be considered to play for the country and they have vowed to make the chance count.

With the arrival of Noble and Anayo, the number of players in the Super Eagles’ camp have increased to 11.

The early birds include Ahmed Musa, Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina and Semi.

Henry Onyekuru, Ogehenekaro Etebo, Chidozie Awaziem, Shehu Abdulahi and Adekunle Adeleke have also hit the Super Eagle camp.

The Super Eagles are currently top of Group L with eight points, one ahead of the squirrels of Benin while the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone have three points and Lesotho two.

Though coach Genort Rohr’s men need just a point to seal their place in Cameroon, it is expected they would get more in the two games against the Squirrels as well as the Crocodiles.
