Reno Omokri leads second round of anti – Buhari protest in the UK

Dateline UK: Reno Omokri, a former special assistant on social media to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday in London, lead a group of Nigerians in the diaspora on another round of protest against President Muhammadu Buhari’s continued stay in the United Kingdom on medical visit.

among other grievances he has against the administration, Mr Omokri condemned President Buhari for approving the sum of $1.5billion dollars for the maintenance of the Port Harcourt Refinery which he described as a loss making project when Shell recently sold its profitable 175,000BPD Refinery in in California, US for $1.2 bn.

He said President Buhari has failed in his campaign mantra to fight corruption because Transparency International has revealed that Nigeria is today more corrupt than at any other time in the history of the country.

He further said the objective of the group is to harass Buhari out of London.

It would he recalled that the protest comes less than week since a similar one was held at the same venue last Friday.

President Muhammadu Buhari departed the country for the UK on Tuesday night for a routine medical checkup with his doctors according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
