FA Cup: Ziyech shoots Chelsea into final

Chelsea are through to the FA Cup final after securing a lone goal win over Manchester City on Saturday at the Wembley stadium.

Hakim Ziyech got the only goal of the first semi-final clash as Chelsea progressed into their 4th FA Cup final in five seasons.
This is the 15th time overall that Chelsea are going as far as the FA Cup final.
After a ding-dong affair in the first half, the Blues got the breakthrough 10 minutes into the second half when Timo Werner laid a well-tailored pass to Ziyech.
The all-important goal was very similar to the one which was ruled out early on as Werner raced down the left and found Ziyech in the middle to stroke home.
This was Ziyech’s second FA goal.
City goalkeeper Steffen will have himself to blame as he was largely indecisive, coming out, then retreating and making Werner’s mind up for him.
Saturday’s defeat means City’s push for a quadruple has been punctured.
That nonetheless, City will switch focus to a treble.
For Pep Guardiola’s men, the Premier League title is all but wrapped up, City are also in next week’s Carabao Cup final against Tottenham and through to the Champions League semi-finals, where they will face PSG.
Though Man City had won four of their last five  FA Cup ties against Chelsea, including a 2-1 win at this stage in 2013, they could not get it right against the Blues on Saturday at Wembley.
For Thomas Tuchel, he would be happy to finally get one over Guardiola having lost his previous five games against Guardiola.
Chelsea will now wait for who their opponent will be in final as Leicester City and Southampton slug it out in the other semi final.
