Police arrest ten over inter cult clash in Ekiti
The Ekiti State command of the Nigeria Police has confirmed the arrest of ten suspected cultists over their alleged complicity in an inter-cult clash in Ikere Ekiti, Ikere Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu (ASP), the clash, which started on Saturday night lasted into Sunday morning.
He confirmed the details of the arrests saying, ‘I can confirm to you that 10 suspects have been arrested in connection with the bloody cult clash. The clash was caused by rivalry and show of strength,” he said.

The police spokesperson also confirmed that six persons lost their lives in the clash, adding that their corpses have been deposited in the morgue.
He highlighted the efforts of the police and other security forces to bring the situation under control in the Ekiti state just as he revealed that those arrested are already in the custody of the police. He said they suspects will be charged to court after investigation.
