BREAKING: NIGERIAN ARMY CONFIRMS ARREST OF IPOB COMMANDER

…releases pictorial evidence of his link with Nnamdi Kanu.

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the arrest of Awurum Eze, who it described as the Second in Command to Ikonso, the slain member of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) and former Commander of the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

According to a statement by the Nigerian Army Headquarters on Thursday, Mr Eze was arrested by security operatives in Aba, the capital of Abia State.

The Nigerian Army says Eze has been on the wanted list of security agents for over three monrhs in connection with the numerous killings in Imo State.

The Army maintains that “many of the arrested IPOB /ESN terrorists had earlier mentioned him as their key sponsor and added thay only Ikonso & Awurum have direct communication link with Nnamdi Kanu,” it said.
