Tanker accident

It was a sad day on Thursday in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, when a petrol tanker crushed to death fifteen students of Army Day Secondary School.

According to reports, the driver of the tanker, which was laden with petroleum product, was speeding when he suddenly lost control and ran over some of the pupils who were walking home after school.

While many of the students died on the spot, others who sustained serious injuries were rushed to Army Hospital, Effurun Barracks for medical attention.
