SERAP calls on President Buhari to revoke NBC’s directive on reporting terrorism

The Social Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to to direct the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to rescind with immediate effect the order given to Radio and Television stations not to divulge details of the activities of terrorists and kidnappers in their reports.

SERAP has also threatened to go the legal route if its demand is not acceded to by the Federal Government.

In a related development, SERAP also condemned the refusal of the National Assembly to allow electronic transmission of election result. It described the action as a veiled attempt to undermine the electorates at the expense of politicians.
