Alloy Urges New Super Eagles Prospect To Remain Focused

Super Eagles assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer, Alloy Agu has tasked Hapoel Jerusalem goalkeeper, Adeleye Adebayo to combine hard work with dedication in his quest to join the long lists of the best Nigerian goalkeepers of all time.

In a telephone chat with the goalkeeper trainer recently, Alloy revealed that the Super Eagles coaching staff are busy combing all nooks and crannies of Nigeria and Europe searching for top-grade goalkeepers that will add more quality to what the national team already have.

Adeleye was rated as the best goalkeeper in the Israeli Leumit league last season after his goalkeeper prowess inspired Hapoel Jerusalem’s promotion to the Premier League. But coach Alloy Agu has urged the 21-year-old goalkeeper to keep firing in all cylinders when the Israeli Premier League kicks off next season.

“ We want to discover more talented goalkeepers for the national team. I discovered Carl Ikeme, Francis Uzoho and Maduka Okoye.

“Adeleye should keep working hard because we will keep watching him. He should continue to put in a great performance for his club,” he said.

The former Golden Eaglets goalkeeper remains the toast of Hapoel fans after he recorded 19 clean sheets from 32 games last season.
Adeleye, who conceded just 17 goals throughout the season, has also indicated his readiness to fight for a shirt in the Super Eagles when the opportunity presents itself.

He is currently in Poland with his club for pre-season activities
