Breaking: Obasanjo in Close-Door Meeting With Uche Secondus-led PDP NWC
A former tow-term President and Elder Statesman, Olusegun Obasanjo is in a close-door meeting on Thursday in Abeokuta, Ogun State, with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This is contained in a tweet on the official handle of the party @OfficialPDPNig.
The NWC is led by embattled National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus who barely survived a vote of no confidence from the leadership of the party at an extra-ordinary meeting held on Tuesday August 10.
As part of recommendations from the meeting, the party is expected to hold its national convention in October to elect new members into the NWC.
The objectives of the meeting with ex President Obasanjo who has severally denounced his membership of the party in the past is unclear as at the time of filling this report.
