Fake News: NNPC Is Not Recruiting -Group Spokesperson

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), has dissociated itself from the news making the round that it is currently conducting a recruitment exercise.

In a statement on Sunday by its Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Garba Deen Muhammed, the Corporation said emphatically that it is not involved in any exercise to bring in new hands at this material point in time.

“This is to inform the public that the information circulating in the Social Media that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) IS NOT TRUE and the public should disregard it in its entirety.”

The statement read that the NNPC will inform the general public through established communication media of any employment exercise in future.

“Whenever NNPC decides to conduct a recruitment exercise, it will announce this to the public through authentic public communication channels including the NNPC’s website (www.nnpcgroup.com).

“Once again, the NNPC is NOT RECRUITING,” the statement read.
