PHOTOS: Three trapped, others injured as two-storey building collapses in Lagos

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)  has confirmed another building collapse in Lagos.

Roving Naija gathered the location of this unfortunate occurrence is 97, Lagos Road, Haruna, Ikorodu, Lagos and it happened Monday night around 10pm.

Updates from NEMA indicates that at least two persons; a male and a female were injured in the building collapse. They are currently at Ikorodu General hospital receiving medical treatment.

It is not yet clear if any life was lost but at least three more persons are said to be trapped in the wreckage.

“Immediately the incidence occurred, the local residents within the area mobilised themselves to carry out initial rescue activities.

“Though, fire service and Police responded but were unable to do much due to the unavailability of equipment to lift the rumble on the suspected location of the trapped victims.” Nema said in a short press statement

It was reported that it was an abandoned building that the owners had asked the occupants to leave but those there are said to be staying there without the consent of the owner.
